But unfortunately, there are few file extensions that have lesser information available online. This is a more challenging approach that requires extensive effort to be resolved.

Installing the required application can also be a remedy. Some applications are designed to render most files however they require additional programs to be able to do it. This is common to entertainment software or portable players. Native players like Windows Media Player require additional codec in order to render a wider selection of file types.
